HOW TO GROW WATERCRESS

Start indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Direct sow outside 2-4 weeks before last frost, seed 1/2” apart, thin to 4”. An aquatic, water-loving plant, it grows along streams, lakes, or in a container that sits in a tray of water, slightly alkaline pH about 7.0, to keep moist. Seeds require light to germinate, press into soil, do not cover. Soil pH 6.6-7.8. Hardiness zones 6-10. Perennial.
