HOW TO GROW SWEET CICELY

Best direct sown in fall as soon is seed is ripe. Or, start indoors, lightly scarify, cold stratify for 8 weeks then add heat and humidity with clear cover like tomatoes and peppers until germination. If you have a problem with rodents eating seeds, cover surface with 1/4” hardware cloth. For culinary use, prevent plant from flowering, leaves loose flavor when plant flowers. Will persist and self seed under ideal conditions. Soil pH 5.6-7.8. Hardiness zones 3-8. Perennial.
