HOW TO GROW COLUMBINE, ROCKY MOUNTAIN

Direct sow outdoors or in cold frame in spring in the North, fall in the South. Sow at 41˚F for, 3 months, then place in 68˚F for three months, keep moist. Germination is irregular, often several months, so do not discard seeds flats if no germination. Can grow in part shade. Cutting flowers encourages new blooms. Surface sow, press into soil, do not cover. Soil pH 5.1–6.0. Hardiness zones 3–8. Perennial.
